Russia Suspected of Interfering in 2018 World Cup

Robert Mueller’s team have expanded the scope of their investigation to review troubling allegations that Russia has tried to influence the outcome of this year’s World Cup. The details have not been made public, but Mueller has reportedly obtained evidence of massive Russian investments in soccer-related infrastructure, including construction or reconstruction of 12 stadiums, 100 training fields and the mobilization of thousands of Russian professionals and volunteers.
This expansion was triggered during review of the Sufjan Stevens dossier where a link to a “third-rate talentless hack aging British lad entertainer” was found. Incredibly, Russian officials allegedly paid singer Robbie Williams large sums of money in conjunction with their World Cup project. A truly worrying and perplexing affair that merits the full weight of the Special Counsel’s attention.
